All-On-4 Gold Coast
The All on 4™ concept was developed by Professor Paulo Malo in Portugal in the early 90s.
It was developed to offer patients an entire set of new teeth that looked as natural and perfect as possible — while being fixed in place to avoid the need for removable dentures. This revolutionary concept avoids the need for bone grafting, which dramatically reduces the treatment time required and therefore costs. Our experienced team at the Malo Dental Gold Coast can replace your missing teeth, and fast — in as little as 24 to 48 hours.

Natural Looking Results with Fewer Implants
With modern surgical techniques and improved dental implant designs, patients can receive fixed full bridges with the All-on-4™ treatment at the Malo Dental Gold Coast in as little as two days.
The technique can be applied to either the upper or lower jaw, dependent upon bone volume and density. All-on-4 can be suitable for denture wearers who have lost their teeth sometime in the past.
Four implants are inserted into the jaw to serve as the foundation for the teeth. Sets of teeth will then be added into the implants which will look and act like natural teeth.
Am I Suitable for the All on 4 Treatment?
Obviously, there are some medical conditions that can have an effect on implant healing and we need to know about these as soon as possible, as they can modify your treatment plan. However, there are very few conditions that mean you can’t have dental implants.
Examples of medical conditions that may be an issue include, but are not confined to, are:
- I.V bisphosphonates
- Recent heart attack or cardiac surgery – 6 months
- High blood pressure
- Myasthenia gravis
- INR (clotting ratio) > 3.0
When you visit the Malo Dental Gold Coast, a full medical history will be taken and suitability is assessed. In most cases, if the situation is known about and managed, dental implants will be possible. Age is no barrier!
All-On-4 is a Great Solution For
- Missing teeth

Things to Consider When Choosing Your Treatment Team
Make sure you consider the following when researching potential teams to assist with your All on 4 treatment:
- Has the person performing the treatment spent time training with the developer of the procedure, or what advanced training have they undertaken?
- Have the implants they are planning to use been developed specifically for this procedure?
- Will they be following the Malo protocol?
- What sort of warranty will be offered and are they part of a worldwide network of clinics where warranty work could be undertaken?
Dr Sham Jamal, Clinic Director of the Malo Dental Gold Coast, is one of the nation’s most experienced dentists for the All on 4 procedure. Dr Jamal trained in Portugal with Professor Malo. Frequently Asked Questions
Check out the most frequently asked questions about the All on 4™ procedure. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to call or contact us online.
What are the benefits of All on 4™ versus traditional dental implants?
The main benefit of All on 4™ for patients is the drastically reduced procedure times and corresponding reduced costs. Getting teeth via traditional dental implants generally takes six months to a year. With All on 4™ we can provide a client with a full set of new teeth in 24 or 48 hours.
How long will the procedure take?
The surgical procedure generally takes from two hours for a single arch and up to four or five hours for top and bottom arches. Another couple of hours is required the following day when we’re making the bridges.
Is there any interesting history to the procedure?
The first case was done in 1993 and at the time, it was a huge leap forward for what could be provided for the patients. The fact that Professor Malo designed the implants himself, the same ones that we still use, is quite unique.
What drew you to the All on 4™ system as a treatment option for patients?
It was the reduced treatment time. Historically, for a patient it could take anywhere between six months and 12 months to have the implant treatment done, depending on grafting requirements. With All on 4™ protocols we can routinely finish the procedure in two days. For people who found that time barrier a problem, the treatment is really attractive.
It is also fantastic seeing the change in the quality of life All on 4™ provides for patients, and being a part of that process.
Is the All on 4™ system for everyone?
All on 4™ is for most people. There are some risk categories such as heavy smokers, people with uncontrolled diabetes, or lack of ability to keep things clean. Poor oral hygiene can affect the procedure but apart from those risk categories, most people can receive the treatment.
